About ICA

Letter from the President

Welcome to the ICA web site. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend a warm greeting to all of you. ICA’s purpose is to enhance the image, well-being, economic strength and political strength of Indiana’s construction industry.

At ICA, we understand that communication and involvement from our members is critical to the success of our organization. We strive to provide the highest level of service by:

  • Actively participating in the legislative process, serving as a collective voice for the industry in an effort to protect our members from potentially onerous and harmful legislation and to encourage legislation that would positively affect the industry;
  • Successfully negotiating building and highway, heavy, utility labor agreements;
  • Launching new cooperative relationships to ensure that ICA’s presence with owners and designers of commercial building and highway, heavy, utility projects is enhanced;
  • Growing our presence in southwest Indiana by engaging area members who have actively promoted association involvement and grown membership;
  • Activating and educating members on issues to be better prepared for future legislative solutions at the national level;
  • Developing new leaders for our industry through many educational and networking opportunities offered through our leadership development programs;
  • Improving and enhancing the flow of valuable information to you through the ICA web site, weekly newsletter, daily news summaries, and stolen equipment alerts;
  • Increasing safety throughout our industry by recognizing those members whose safety programs are clearly understood and followed consistently at the field level and then sharing those award-winning practices with all members;
  • Educating members through seminars focused on current and relevant industry-specific topics;
  • Practicing strong fiscal discipline in all association activities by monitoring revenues closely and questioning all expenses.

Through these efforts, ICA will continue to help build strength, synergy and success for our industry. Thank you for your support that helps us to protect and grow our industry’s future.

Sincerely,

Charles V. Kahl
President
